About CCC-TIES

NON SCHOLAE SED VITAE DISCIMS.

We do not learn for school, but for life

These words of wisdom are from the Latin phrase by Lucius Annaeus Seneca, Emperor Nero’s tutor, and also a statesman, philosopher, and poet of the Roman era. These words imply that one should study to better their life, not for academic credits, degrees or any specific qualification.

NPO CCC-TIES, the parent organization being a university consortium, began as a fledgling gathering of university faculties and academics while transcending existing frameworks to develop a new style of open education programs.

Knowledge and education based on stable scholarships create various opportunities and possibilities, characterized by a free and worthy life. Inheriting the intensions of the university consortium, we hope to create a lifelong learning society, aiding everyone having this intention, and subsequently, lead a free and fruitful life.
